Saving Phantom

This go fund me is set up for Phantom's medical expenses.  Any money given beyond his expenses will be donated to local rescue groups.

A small local group tried to capture Phantom for 3 months. This included daily tracking, food stations, cameras and attempts with sedation and darting. On January 1st,  we were finally successful. We formed a relationship with a couple living in the area with a small fenced-in area. We led Phantom to the area and fed him there. We started with all the gates open and food outside the area. We gradually closed the gates (except one) and moved the food to the far side of the enclosure. We placed a crate inside the area and tied a cord to the gate.  We then hid in vehicles and waited. He showed up, right on time and went in. The cord was pulled, the gate shut and we finally had him. Leslie and Lori went into the enclosure and secured him in the crate for transport. He is safe now and in a foster home recovering from his time on the streets.
