Wie aan Nederland denkt, denkt aan molens. Molens zijn onlosmakelijk verbonden met ons prachtige cultuurlandschap. Maar het in stand houden van die molens kost veel energie en veel geld.

In 2022 ga ik langs minstens 366 molens proberen te fietsen, iets over die molens te leren, en dat met u te delen via mijn Twitter account: BlueBikeGreenH , of #366molens. U kunt het verhaal ook volgen op FaceBook (in English), of Strava . Allemaal Met als doel uw aandacht en steun te vragen voor Vereniging De Hollandsche Molen .
De Vereniging De Hollandsche Molen streeft met het Molenfonds naar behoud van molens als cultuurhistorisch erfgoed in het Nederlandse landschap. Molens behouden en hun verhaal doorgeven aan volgende generaties. Maar ook molens vandaag de dag in ere houden zodat iedereen die dat wil ze kan bezoeken en ervan genieten.
Dit kan gerealiseerd worden! Met financiële steun. Want veel molens hebben dringend onderhoud nodig. Onderhoud dat nodig is voor openstelling voor publiek, en om te kunnen draaien en malen. De overheid erkent weliswaar de waarde van molens en levert haar bijdrage, maar meer geld is nodig om de kosten te dekken.

When you think of the Netherlands, you think of windmills. Mills are inextricably linked to our beautiful cultural landscape. But maintaining these mills costs a lot of energy and money.

This can be realized! With financial support. Many windmills need urgent maintenance. Maintenance required for opening to the public, and for turning and grinding. Although the government recognizes the value of windmills and makes its contribution, more money is needed to cover the costs.
