The deptford people project

The Deptford People Project was established in November 2015 by local people. Using food wastage, food donations & local volunteers we now provide 2 weekly street kitchens for those in need. Offering FREE healthy hot meals & food/ clothing packages to anyone in Deptford. The majority of our group are homeless or rough sleeping. We are completely unfunded and have to date served over 145 local people with over 2000 free hot meals. We are fundraising to pay for venue costs to allow us to take kitchen off the street one day a week so we can provide a warm welcoming place to our members after being evicted from a LA community centre in July. Our mission statement is to provide food, clothing & support to those experiencing hardship, social segregation & mental health issues. To encourage the community to care for the most vulnerable in our area.
