BIKES FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS

Donation protected
Another Christmas is coming and I’m (Keith Putnam of Marstons Mills, MA) about to put some energy into making 2022 even better than last year’s run. In 2021 enough $ was raised for bikes donated to put over 100 + children on bikes with helmets here on Cape Cod!! Although we were all challenged during another year of the pandemic the community here on Cape Cod pulled through to brighten many children’s Christmas morning. It’s in my strong opinion that every child deserves to have a new bike on Christmas regardless of their present circumstances (family, money, health). For myself to have the connection with the Child & Family Services now for over 9 years ... I have the opportunity to help many kids get that first sense of freedom that a bike gives a child. I know this year with the pandemic some have struggled while others have thrived financially. I am hopeful that the local community will still help me out in this passionate endeavor of bikes for kids. I firmly believe in this fun annual event that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of and hope to see it succeed in 2022! I do know that kids have had more screen time then EVER...... with learning on devices now and on their computers at home for homework nightly. With my own kids I see first hand upwards of 8-10 hours of screen time a day with school work, homework, and then free time on their devices it alarms me to see this generation not spending as much time outside the way my generation did! It’s imperative to HELP OUT local nonprofits more then ever and to keep our youth exercising and moving outside not only for their bodies, but for their mentality. The goal would be to raise $10,000 before Christmas and make Cape Cod kids more active and spend more time outside in nature rather than on their devices! The money raised will be used to purchase, order, pick up, shipping, put together, and commute the bikes that are (tricycles, balance bikes, scooters, 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 24" frames - bicycles in assorted male and female specific bikes along with helmets to accomadate the bikes for safety) to be delivered at the drop off points on Cape Cod. (Child & Family Services in Hyannis, Ma , 100 Independence Park, Unit 8). The money will be used weeks prior to Christmas Day -December 25, 2022 in attempt to get all the bikes and helmets purchased and put together before being delivered to the kids as needed through the Child & Family Services of Cape Cod. Please PM me or contact me by phone or email for arrangements on how to donate towards this cause. Thank you Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Child and Family Services, Inc., and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
