Clean Up Totes for the Homeless!

I'm Brent... Lead Servant of Revolution.313 . I'm an X-homeless Pastor in the process of planting a different kind of church in the city of Detroit. We're Revolution.313... "The Church of the Other Six Days." All we mean by that is... we're more concerned with loving Detroit's people Monday-Saturday than whatever we might do on Sunday. (Even though we totally love to worship on Sundays.)
There are many things I remember about when I had no real place to stay. I HATED that feeling of being totally dirty. It was bad enough that some of my life-choices left me feeling dirty on the inside, but I sometimes felt even worse on the outside.
As we gather God's people to invade the streets of Detroit with LOVE, we find it easier to convince people that God loves them when we can begin by showing them that WE love them. We aim to raise $6000 in order to put together 200 "Clean Up Totes" PER MONTH from April-September. A total of 1200 totes worth about $5 each.
I've had the opportunity to sit and talk to some of the homeless in our area and we're quite sure we have a good read on what Detroit's homeless would find most helpful to find in one of our "Clean Up Totes."
Everything from socks and undies to toothbrushes and especially "baby wipes" are on the list. As I talked to our friends on the streets, I couldn't help but remember how each of the items they mentioned would have felt if I had them when I was hot, dirty, sweaty, and feeling like a failure all alone on Detroit's painful streets.
I was lucky. I had a lot of people supporting me, praying for me, and willing to help me off the curb. Not everyone is even close to that lucky. We want to be that support and love, but we need to gain their trust by proving we love them. Will you help us prove that love?
