30 Munros in 30 Days for SAMH - In Memory of Ross
Tax deductible
Hello everyone. We are Heather and Lewis Gibson, and throughout April, we have set ourselves a challenge to each climb 30 Munros in 30 days in memory of our older brother Ross Gibson. This is incredibly personal to us as it marks one year since Ross took his own life in April 2023, at the age of 30.
In Ross's memory and to support others struggling with mental health issues, we've dedicated this fundraiser to Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), Scotland's leading mental health charity. SAMH provides vital services, support, and advocacy to individuals and families across Scotland, striving to break down stigma and improve access to mental health resources.
In Scotland, two people die by suicide every single day and it is the leading cause of death among people aged 15-34 years, making it a prevalent reality for so many families.
Our family would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help support Scotland's national mental health charity. Ross's caring, protective, sensitive, sarcastic and funny character was taken away from all of us in the most tragic way. He will never be forgotten and I hope raising money for SAMH brings a little bit of light from such a hopeless darkness.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
