Awesome job Wids! Thanks again Missy for your time and dedication to executing Widsgiving!!! Thanks to the generosity of our fellow Wids and their donations for Widsgiving, we were able to raise enough money for the families of 24 of our fellow Wids! The selflessness and generosity within our group never ceases to amaze us, as we strive to return to normalcy or the new norm that we are now facing.
We have yet another major holiday pending. We all struggle with being forced to try and make new Christmas traditions, with the new family dynamic that none of us asked for.
Last year at Christmas, we had just over 2,600 members. This year, we have over 3,500 members in our group, having been brought together due to the life-changing tragedies we have all experienced. Our group grew by 1,000 Wids since last year!!! Of our group members, we can not even guess how many of us have children.
We did such a great job coming together for Widsgiving. Let's come together again. Let's see what we can do this year for the bad ass kids of our WD30 tribe this Christmas.
Last year we set a goal. The goal was trying to raise enough money so that each of the nominated children can at minimum receive $50 worth of gifts on Christmas. We achieved that goal! We raised enough so that 114 Widkids could receive $54 worth of gifts each.
This year we would love to be able to supersede that goal! We want to raise enough money so that the nominated children can receive $75 worth of gifts. We truly believe we can come together for our babies that have already lost so much.
After our Widsgiving fundraiser did such an amazing job of helping 24 families for Thanksgiving, the leftover funds collected have been carried over into the Christmas fund. The Widkids of our tribe, have a jump start this year of $1,400!
Starting today, November 16th 2019, we will begin accepting suggestions or nominations of the widows and widowers of WD30 for their sweet babies. Please feel free to nominate the parents who have children ages 0 to 18 years old who you feel are in need this season. Self nominations are acceptable as well. As always, the people who have been nominated by others will not be advised of who nominated them as with Widsgiving, keep your ears and eyes open for those who need this, not just those that you like. This is not a popularity contest, but a genuine gesture to help our Wids that have had a hell of a time catching a break.

To nominate please direct message one of your friendly members of the Christmas Crew!
As I said we will begin accepting nominations starting today and we will close the nominations on November 30, 2019. On that date the nominated families will be informed.
Those families will be educated on how to help their children register for gifts on amazon.com. The Christmas crew will use the registry to purchase as many Christmas presents that we can afford based upon the donations we are able to collect.
We are prepping the GoFundMe page so we can start collecting donations very shortly. Donations will end on December 7, 2019.
Like last year, you will be seeing a lot of your Christmas crew posting, dancing elves, dancing the Macarena, or just going Live to give updates and reminders on deadlines.
