Stop Constant Tour Helicopter Noise

Hawaii Island Coalition Malama Pono (HICoP.org) is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 2016 to help Island residents who are suffering from the constant noise caused by daily low flying Tour Helicopters over our communities. Hawaii Volcano National Park has the highest fly-over Tour Helicopter rate in the Nation.
The money raised will be used to campaign on behalf of Hawaii residents to establish a “HAWAII ISLAND TOUR HELICOPTER COASTAL ROUTE.” A similar route has been enacted by the FAA for New York called "NY North Shore Helicopter Route."
The negative effects of frequent low flying helicopter noise have been documented by the FAA in several studies across the country.
1991-1994 study conducted with University of Hawaii found that 5 helicopter flights overhead caused significant stress and annoyance to residents. Most residents are receiving 10 times that amount.
Tourists are unable to take in the serenity of the parks while residents of the island are being bombarded with noise.
20 years ago a route was established that caused minimal impact on residents, however these areas are now populated with their communities continuing to grow.
