Paul was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. As devasting as this was, he was also diagnosed with Leukemia just a short time later. The cancer is aggressive and requires intensive treatment.
When Paul was first diagnosed and shared the news with family and friends, he said, "I am the luckiest guy in the world to have so many people there for me." How many people say they are lucky when they have just been diagnosed with two types of cancer? His incredible humility and gratitude are inspirational.
Paul is a hard working laborer who comes from a large family. He has three children, two who are in college and one in high school. He has always been a fighter and he was known to be a determined, scrappy hockey player as a kid. Despite the fact that opponents were sometimes much larger than he was, it never deterred him from doing everything he could to win. Please help us help him to win the fight of his life and beat cancer.
Paul has been there for others in their time of need, giving of his time, labor, and love. His group of loyal friends and family have been the beneficiaries of his caring and committment. It is our time now to come together as a community and support him in his time of need.
As Paul's treatments progress, he will be unable to work. The cost of medications and the loss of income will have a significant impact on his ability to survive day to day. We are hoping to raise money to help Paul cover the costs of medications and daily living expenses.
Paul is not one to ask for help, nor would he want to make a "big deal" out of his situation. So, my Aunt Theresa Skinner and I have set up this campaign in his name. My Aunt Theresa Skinner will withdraw the money and add it to an account we have set up for my Uncle Paul already. We are so grateful for any contribution and we know that every little bit helps. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about Paul and for contributing what you can.
