Dublin City Marathon for Nicola
My marathon journey started on new years eve 2015, over a few G&Ts I decided that my goal for 2016 would be to run a marathon. Probably not the wisest thing to do to wait until I turned 40 to do a marathon! 16 weeks of training began in July and I'm delighted to say I've survived it, well just about! lol With just under 4 weeks to go to the big day I've decided to raise funds for my very inspirational sister in law Nicola.
Nicola was diagnosed with breast cancer 1 year ago this month. To say treatment has been tough is an understatement. With two small kids she has fought this battle with bravery in such a dignified manner and as a family we are extremely proud of her. Her treatment is still ongoing unfortunately but so also are the medical bills, reality and pressures of day to day life. I could not think of a better cause to run for on the day as I'm a firm believer that charity begins at home. I would be so greatful if you could support this wonderful cause and make a small difference to Nicola, her husband and girls to help her fight on. Thankyou so much. Jennifer x
