Santa Dash for LGBTQ Youth in Liverpool

We are a group of staff, friends and family who are wanting to raise funds for the expenses of the three LGBTQ+ youth groups at YPAS.

This money would go towards a variety of upcoming projects, including: Christmas presents for some of the young people, tickets for fun days out, upcoming projects in early 2025 - and more!

As a charity that relies on funding and generosity - a little really does go a long way. On average we work with around 50 LGBTQ+ young people a week and it costs a lot of money to cover the costs of activities in order to create a dynamic offer which these young people deserve.

Times are frightening and difficult for everyone right now, but especially that of LGBTQ+ youth who face disproportionate rates of adversity. LGBTQ+ young people are twice as likely to experience depression and contemplate suicide, three times more likely to self-harm and more than 1 in 4 experience tension and hardship at home (Just Like Us, 2021).
