Truly man's best friend, Police K9 dogs continually run headlong into some of the most dangerous situations presented to Law Enforcement. They don't do it for the pay and they don't do it for the glory. They do it out of sheer drive to protect the ones they love from harm, many times without the protections afforded to their human counterparts.
After the tragic loss of an Alaska State Trooper K9 on Sep. 25th, this campaign is being set in place to provide ballistic and stab vests to K9's around the State and Country.
Each K9 ballistic vest costs $1000 providing both stab and ballistic protection to the K9. The initial goal of this campaign is to be able to purchase four vests for State and Local K9's, with the end goal being the supply of protective vests to each and every K9 on the force. Each vest will be purchased as soon as the funds are available to get the life saving equipment to each K9 as soon as possible.
