Helping the Bullocks bounce back!

"The True Financial Burden of getting cancer."
We are friends of Larissa from our church, St. Paul's Lutheran Des Peres. We are determined to help the Bullocks bounce back after Larissa recently beat an aggressive form of ovarian cancer.
Can you imagine having three young kids and learning you have ovarian cancer...and the only way to treat it is with one of the most intense chemotherapy regimens available?
Can you imagine spending months enduring exhaustive and unbearable treatments and then beating cancer..... only to be met with an overwhelming financial burden at the end?
Do you know the average cancer patient is forced to pay a minimum of 10% out of pocket of what can be hundreds of thousands (even millions) of dollars in treatment?
This is what happened to our dear friend Larissa.
We are raising money to relieve Drew and Larissa of the thousands and thousands of dollars in medical bills that have resulted from her treatment.
To give you an idea of what they are up against:
1. Larissa received less than a quarter of her pay during the 6 months of her treatment.
2. Their stop loss this year is $25,000 before all the remaining bills are covered.
3. Larissa will have follow up visits every 8 weeks for the next 3 years requiring blood work, MRI's, CT Scans and a specialist visit every time. This will be very expensive.
4. The mounting bills have drained their savings...money that was put away to purchase a home closer to their church and school.
5. They also had to replace their car during this time.
Another good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 years ago. It took her literally years to pay off the resulting medical bills. Please help us relieve the financial burden the Bullocks are facing. The family should be celebrating Larissa and the fact that she beat cancer and not stressing about how they are going to pay for it!
