2nd Aid trip to Poland

Last month I had the honour to drive to the Poland border with Ukraine to deliver aid to refugee centres. These centres provide aid to refugees who had fled Ukraine because of the war started by Putin's Russia. As I was using my own car, a VW Passat, I was limited as to how much I could take. Fortunately, I was part of a team of 23 people and 11 vehicles that we formed to take aid to the border with Ukraine, and other aid centres in Poland, and bring refugees on the next stage of their journey to safety.

We are planning another trip to Poland to take supplies to an aid centre in Wroclaw, and possibly to the border with Ukraine again. We plan to make the journey towards the end of May 2022.

The situation changes daily, and the system of documenting and onward movement of refugees is becoming more controlled and so we may not need to visit the border.

The supplies that we need to take are asked for by the centres and this time they need, among other things, petrol generators to provide heat, light and power for the centre and individual refugees. We will buy these if we cannot get them pro bono. We will also be buying supplies locally so that they arrive fresh and have a longer shelf-life.

As we will be buying supplies, we need money, hence the reason for this fundraiser. If you can, and you want to, then please donate so that we can buy as much as possible on this trip.

We are hoping that a sponsor or 2 will help with the costs of the trip - vehicle provision/hire, fuel, food and accommodation.
