Refugee crisis volunteer trip

Dear friends and family, this past year I have had my eyes opened to the ongoing refugee crisis happening in Greece and various other shores accepting displaced people from Syria and many other countries. This issue has been weighing very heavy on my heart, and I feel personally called to go and lend a hand. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Clover Sexton. At the end of October I am planning on traveling to the Island of Lesvos (the closest shore to Turkery, where most refugees travel from) and voulnteering at Moria which is currently the largest refugee camp full of families and children. I feel it is important to understand that these people are established doctors, lawyers, business owners, and teachers. They have been forced to flee their homes and have nowhere to go. Most people come to Moria with only the wet clothes on their back and my job will be to help distribute clothing, blankets, food and help locate them within the camp. I will be going through an organization called EuroRelief, which is one of the safest and most well established programs to volunteer with, and they are also understaffed and in need of help.
I am taking this semester off from school so I can work and raise as much of my own money as possible, but there are a lot of expenses involved in traveling abroad such as flight, lodging and food. If you are moved to support me through donations or prayer it would fill my heart with gratitude. Another way you can help is by passing this message along. I appreciate any form of support and am looking forward to sharing my journey with you. All funds will go to the expenses I face while abroad and if there is anything remaining, I plan on giving it back to Moria.
