Dress the NHS
Donation protected
We are a local Hub of the wider Scrub Hub Movement, a small Suffolk group of experienced sewists volunteering our time, skills, resources and enthusiasm to create scrubs for the NHS during the Covid-19 crisis.
Extra sets of scrubs are needed for those requiring to change regularly when dealing with ill patients, and to dress the new recruits and volunteers taken on to tackle the virus. The aim of our Hub is to fulfil orders as quickly as possible from local small hospitals, GP surgeries and Carers in the community, supplying scrubs to those who often do not have the buying power and budgets to secure speedy supplies.
Each set of scrubs costs around £20 just for the raw materials, so we welcome donations to ensure we can continue to supply outfits to the frontline workers who need them as this crisis continues.
Funds raised are used to cover materials and delivery, with time from sewists and drivers being given completely free. The more funds we receive, the more scrubs we can make to help more doctors, nurses and carers. Should there be any left-over funds at the end of the scrub shortage they will be donated to 'NHS Practitioner Health', an organisation supporting care professionals and their mental health, which will no doubt be of great importance in the coming months.
Thank you for helping us to dress our lovely NHS staff!
Your kindness is very much appreciated.
