Sami and Friends Strike Out Epilepsy
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
As many of you know, this has been a challenging year for our daughter, Sami. After many years seizure-free, Sami's struggle with epilepsy intensified just as the school year began, with frequent seizure and multiple hospitalizations. Still, Sami's spirit was strong - she returned to school, played basketball, continued her beloved photography and this month, was back on the softball field. As Sami was quick to point out - epilepsy doesn't control her, it needs to be controlled.
An estimated three million Americans live with this devastating illness. Most funding in the U.S. goes toward seizure control and not prevention or efforts to find a cure. More research is needed to provide hope.
Sami is teaming up with one of her friends to raise funds and awareness. This is the second year of Sarah's family fun day fundraiser, S4 Strikes Out Epilepsy on June 8, in Southbury, Ct. It is Sami's goal to raise at least $2,000 to present at the event.
Please consider making a donation to help our battle against epilepsy, to raise awareness and provide hope. All money raised through this effort will benefit the organization CURE: Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy.
Thank you for teaming up with Sami to Strike Out Epilepsy.
