Hood Grandparents Flood Relief

Hey everyne, my name is Aaron Hood and I'm asking you for three minutes of your day to read this, and send prayers, positive energy and ANY amount of disposible income to aide in giving a respectable couple, Jenny and Johnny Hood their home back.
You may have seen, heard and probably read about the severe flooding in Louisiana in recent weeks.
While these disasters do happen periodically and with some degree of frequency in Louisiana, my Grandfather and Grandmother built their home, from the ground up, literally with their bare hands in a part of the state that isn't prone to occaisonal disaster as seen in Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy. They thought they were safe to build in Denham Springs LA. due to its low propensity to flooding- and they were, until now. Governer John Bel Edwards called the widespread flooding "A truly HISTORIC event" that wont be over soon.
Record level rains and flooding have devestated parts of Louisiana that have never been seen before, so this isn't a situation where the residents "should have known better".
My family is asking everyone to find it in their hearts to imagine their own beloved Grandparents, aged 94, expecting to live out their years in a home they'd built with every penny they earned, with every ounce of energy they had, only to have it washed away by nature in an are that wasn't supposed to flood.
Donations will ALL be used to pay for food, clothing and other expenses associated with emergency housing, but most of all, to REBUILD Grandpa and Grandma's HOME.
I still remember Grandma's gifts to me as a two year old boy- A cork gun and a purple shirt that said, "Here comes Trouble". If there's anything that could have been truer, I dont know what it is. But I DO know that these two loving people have spent decades helping their loved ones in times of need, and would give the shirts off their backs to contribute to another's happiness. There's nothing we'd like more right now than to see Grandma and Grandpa comfortable and and in their own home again so they can rest.
