My name is Max and I am an 18 year old double bass player studying an Advanced Bachelor of Science majoring in pure maths and music at University of Sydney. I have engaged in many eisteddfods and concerts, and my accomplishments include being awarded my Associate of Music Australia (AMusA) at 13 years of age, along with performing with many orchestras and ensembles such as SYO and AYO.
I have been playing the double bass since I was 8 years old and it has become such a central and intimate part of my life. When I was at school I could borrow a double bass to practise and for performances but since my graduation from the Conservatorium of Music High School I don’t have access to an instrument of my own. I am almost half way there to buying my first instrument ever, however I still need to raise about $8,000, so with a certain amount of desperation I have set up this crowd funding project. Even if you can only donate to my double bass fund $5 that will help a lot. For donations over $30 I will come and give you a solo bass recital and for donations over $50 I promise I won’t inflict my playing on you
