Family and Friends our family is in need of your support. My wife Mary has a sister named Alice whose a year younger than her. She was pregnant with a baby boy and near term when she began to feel odd, complaining of what seemed to be much more than just those symptoms that most women feel during pregnancy.
Her fiance took her to the hospital. What the doctors discovered was that she had a PLACENTA ABRUPTION. It's basically when the placenta detaches form the uterine wall partially or entirely, causing severe bleeding.
As a result of all of the blood loss Alice went into Hypovolemic shock and that blood volume loss caused her to have recurrent seizures. This lead to her brain stem being damaged. While unconcious and under sedation, doctors performed an emergency C-section to remove the baby.
The baby is safe and well. However, Alice still remains on life support with a ventilator doing her breathing for her.
You can imagine the devistation this has caused in her family. Poor Alice, this is her very first pregnancy and first child. To make matters even more devastating. This is the families second loss of a child.
Our Son Sallieu-Ezekiel Sesay is named after his uncle whom passed away about 7 years ago also in Kenya. Being that Alice is in a private hospital and on life support with no insurance, we are asking all friends and family to make a contribution in any amount. These proceeds will cover the costs of her hospital stay which is extremely expensive.
Please keep in mind that this is taking place in Kenya. Where many people have to suffer from health affliction due to the fact that health insurance is practically non existant.
My Wife Mary just flew to Kenya on 8.14.16 at 10:30pm. She will land in Dubai on 8.15.16 and then have a 10 hour delay before flying to Kenya which is aprpoximately 5-6 hours or so.
I will continue to update family and friends on Alice's condition. Please PRAY and DONATE any amount to our cause. May God Bless you all and thank you.
