Alec's Recovery Fund

My son Alec was badly injured after he fell 20 feet in Houston this past weekend(8/6/16)  He suffered severe injuries to his spinal cord and heel. His full weight landed on his right heel, instantly breaking it, compressing his spine, and fracturing 3 vertabrae. I was finally able to get him to Austin to stay with us on Wednesday, and have transfered him to specialists here for his surgery, follow up apts and physical therapy. There is a possibilty he will need surgery on his back, but will definitely have surgery on his heel as soon as the swelling goes down. Currently there is no slipped discs, but we are seeing specialists next week so I'll keep everyone updated. Right now he has a cast on his foot and back brace to support his spine, so getting around is difficult, but with crutches he can at least get to the car back and forth from the house. Alec will be off work at least for the next 3 month, but depending on his recovery, physical therapy and if he can get his job back, it may be up to 6 months. I'm hoping to relieve some of the financial burden by raising funds. My main concern is to raise enought money (in the next 30 days) for his bills to get him by the next 6 mo(about $1000 a mo). He does have health insurance, but deductibles and what the insurance doesnt cover, will start hitting us in the next 30 days, so I may update what I'm trying to raise if it becomes too much for us to handle. I know from going through surgery with Skyler last October we still ended up with $5k+ in medical bills.
