Thomas's Chiari Journey

Our son Thomas has a medical condition called Chiari malformation, along with, interarytenoid cleft type 2, Autism, SPD, and EDS. He has had 11 surgeries to date 5 of which have been brain surgeries, and he isn't even 3 years old yet. There is no cure, he will have more surgeries in the future to help slow the progression and help with other issues his poor body has. Thomas recntly had a G tube placed to helo us as we battle his swallowing issues, between his cleft, his cranial nerves being compressed for so long, and his oral sensory issues, eating by mouth was not maintaining his weight and was losing more as he stopped eating the more he choked and aspirated. In the 3 weeks he has had the G tube, he has started to put on some weight finally! So far he has spent 80+ day in the hospital this year alone, and things have gotten to a point, we have had to swallow our pride, and ask for our friends and family to help if they can. Even with his father working 2 jobs, we are hurting and this is just the begining of his medical journey. We want to thank you all for your prayers, suport, love and donations.
