#Shave4Syria

Salma Al-Midani of Connecticut, Mandie Garcia of Texas and Mohannad Rachid of Chicago are ready to shave their heads to help raise money to provide humanitarian aid to orphans in Damascus and to help build an elementary school in liberated Aleppo through the Hope For Syria Foundation. Hope for Syria is a US based charity organization established in Chicago last summer and seeks to facilitate by all legal means, the provision of humanitarian aid inside Syria.

We are also shaving our heads in solidarity with this woman who was assaulted by Assad Shabiha. They held her down and cut off all her hair in order to humiliate her in front of her husband.

We hope with your generosity and conscience to raise $12,000. We will have three targets and each time one of the targets is reached, one of the participants will upload a video of them shaving their head. The first target is: $5000, the second target is: $8,500, and the final target: $12,000. We also spoke with the members of the Hope for Syria Organization and they each agreed to donate $500 when our final target is reached. Making our total $15,500 in donations.

We understand that times are tough for everyone but i swear, literally, every single dollar you donate makes a difference. The people of Syria have been neglected from the world for over 2 years and literally hundreds of thousands of families are struggling every single day just to find a loaf of bread to feed to their families. Tens of thousands of children have been orphaned and left alone with no support. Millions of children have been left out of school because of the brutality of the Assad regime that even tarets schools and universities. The $20 you donate wont break you, but i promise it'll fix an entire family's life.
