Karissa's Medical Deductible

Hi,
My name is Corinne Bonafino, and I am the proud aunt of Karissa Jones. I've had the priviledge of spending great quality time with this woman, since her birth in 1984. Even though my niece looks to me as a positive contributor in influencing her life, I can honestly say that it is she who taught me many things. To those that know her, I am sure they feel the same way. I've never met anyone so kind, generous, funny, loyal, and vivacious, with a beautiful soul to top it off!
Karissa was the flower child who wore every color (including shades of neon) and pattern known to man... but all at the same time. lol She was a free-spirit then and still is today. Karissa never ceased in her love and respect for ALL man and animal kind. Aside from her incredibly funny sense of humor, she has the loudest, yet sincere from-the-gut laugh, that literally turns heads... while continuing to wear her amazing smile without even noticing. Karissa is beautiful... inside and out!
Unfortunately, Karissa has been suffering from migranes. At her eye appointments, she has always gotten the thumbs up and her new prescriptions filled. However, at this time, her vision has taken a turn for the worse and even though both eyes are damaged, Karissa has lost most of her vision in her left eye. With 2 MRIs completed, thankfully there are no signs of tumors or MS, and most likely not a brain relation that is causing her optical hemorrhage. But there are going to be many tests, even those that require travel, in order to pinpoint what is causing this.
Karissa will be going on her 2nd year of marriage and their medical decuctible is $10,000. Yes, you read this correctly!! There will also be co-pays, plus her portion of medical bills the insurance won't cover, so you can imagine what is to come. I am setting this fundraiser at $11,000 to cover her deductible, plus the GoFundMe fees.
Helping my niece, with any amount, would mean the world to me. Karissa is like a daughter and lessening the burden of financial stress, may help prevent further physical stress to her eyes. For this alone, I would truly be thankful. She is an amazing canvas artist, as well as creates beautiful tie-dyed baby onesies and adult scarves. I want Karissa to continue enjoying the world of color she loves so much.
