So many of you have asked what you can do to help with my twin sister, Vangie's recent breast cancer diagnosis.
First, I ask for prayer that she, along with her family and ours will have strength & guidance to get through this.
Vangie is and always will be a strong, stubborn, funny & bluntly outspoken person. These last few weeks we have experienced a scared, fearful of the unknown & helpless wife, mother & sister.
Since being diagnosed with breast cancer on 6-21-16 it has been a whirlwind of emotions. We've cried, we've hurt and we've asked why? The answers are not what we hoped to hear.
Her doctor has informed her, that the cancer has spread into her lymph nodes. A auxillary lymph node dissection is now immediately needed and chemotherapy will follow.
She has already been through two surgeries. Vangie has a long road of recovery ahead.
Her husband, Tom is on the road most of the week as he is the sole provider for the family. Her awesome kids have stepped up to care for her while both juggling work & college. We all take turns trying to make her comfortable.
Together we can give back to their family who has countless times been there for others . The impact this has had on them and all of their friends and family has shown them how much they all are loved.
To offset expenses that keep adding up and to make life a little less stressful, I am setting up this account for Vangie. She means more to me than she even knows. I have a hard time watching (and feeling) her suffer.
If you would like to help in any way, our entire family would be very thankful.
