Cancer Picked the Wrong Diva

Julie received some test results showing her cancer was back for a 2nd time and we were waiting on the results after her surgery. We felt certain that the results would come back free and clear and she would be able to resume to normal without having cancer disrupt her life once again. I say with a very broken heart…that we were wrong and the cancer is indeed back. The last week has been an emotional one as Julie isn’t only a vendor at Legacy but she’s also a very dear friend. Sadly, chemo doesn’t treat her kind of cancer and she had so much radiation during her 1st bout that she is never able to receive radiation treatment again, as her body can’t endure it. I hate reporting negative news, but we also didn’t want to leave our prayer warriors hanging wondering what the outcome was when they’ve been so faithful in keeping her in their prayers. Make no mistake…while we feel helpless…are are not hopeless. She will fight and she will exhaust every resource available to beat this cruel disease once again. I’ve been devastated emotionally over this and have been trying to figure out what I can do to help since there is absolutely nothing I can do to change these results. What I’ve come up with are fundraisers and online auctions to help her with the out of pocket medical expenses, which will be starting very soon. All related auction items and fundraiser posts will indicate they are for Julie and will have the Go Fund Me link attached for payment on those items so she won’t have to pay income taxes on donations and fundraiser. Julie’s journey is starting July 20th on her treatment plan, so please be diligent in keeping her in your daily prayers.
