Ebony Payne Family / Funeral Fund

On March 10th 2016 our dear friend and Fraternity brother, Cecil, suffered the abrupt loss of his sister Ebony Payne. This unforseen tradegy is not only emotionally difficult, but financially burdensome. Dealing with finances during such a horrible time should not be an added worry to Cecil and his family while they mourn the loss of Ebony. The Nu Alpha chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta has started this gofundme page in an effort to help cover funeral expenses. All the money donated will be given directly to Cecil and his family.

Below is a message from Cecil in regards to his sister passing away.

"Hi my name is Cecil Boyd. This past week my older sister Ebony Payne passed away at the age of 34. We lost both of our parents in 2008 and have mostly had each other and our oldest sister since. Even with that she has been more of a second mother to me since I was young because our parents wanted their children to have the closest bond siblings could have. I even returned from school early because she was struggling with bills because she herself never went to school so she could always be around to take care of me and our household. Now I ask for help so I can put my heart to rest the best way I can. I appreciate any help you can give for a wonderful women taken too soon. Thank you for your time and support during a trying time."
