Lungs for Lisa
Donation protected
This is my cousin Lisa. She has had a lifelong battle with a lung disease called Bochiectasis and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesea.
Lisa had half a lung removed at just 6 years old. Now, 40 years later she needs a double lung transplant. She has been on oxygen for the past 22 years; half of her life.
Lisa is moving July 22 to Durham NC to start the process of her lung transplant at Duke University Hospital.
Through several fund raisers in the past she received money for the transplant but within the four years since then the price of living around Duke University Hospital has increased in a staggering amount. The rent around that area runs between $1500 up to $4000 per month. Lisa chose one on the lower end based on safety and how close it is to the facilities she will need for her care.
Lisa will have to live there for 6 months up to 1 year. That alone would be about $20k or more.
Please help Lisa achieve her goal of getting her new lungs. Her life depends on it. Every penny counts.
Thank you to the ones who are praying for Lisa and her family. Thank you for the ones who have already given.
Please share and again, please help.
This was a few weeks ago when Lisa went for transplant testing at Duke University Hospital.
