Watkins Tornado Relief Fund

WATKINS TORNADO: Wow, what a day yesterday. Our wonderful little town was devastated and much of it completely destroyed by a tornado that ripped through town on Monday, July 11th. The community of Watkins has received overwhelming support and many are wondering how to give. Homes and businesses were piles of debris and lumber, trees were laying everywhere, yards were peppered with pieces of homes, etc.. Even more overwhelming, the community's streets were overflowing with people pitching in to help those in need - complete strangers in many cases. This is the true beauty of small town living.

Our community is in need of funding to help cover repair costs for those who were victims of this devastation. Many don't have insurance to cover the full cost of fully restoring their homes and lives. Please help support those who are less fortunate and are trying to rebuild.  

My name is Sandy Hansen, as a business owner in town, I was asked to help coordinate donations and funds that have been given. Our goal here, with your generosity, is to help the Citizens of Watkins and the town itself with the massive clean up and restoration that will be needed in the coming months.  To be clear I am just organizing this gofundme campaign, any donation will go directly from here to an account set up by the City of Watkins for the Tornado Relief 

Community leaders along with aid organizations will begin the process of taking applications from those who need help for recovery and clean up. Your donations will go directly to the people of Watkins who need help recovering from this Storm.
