Please help Dawn

A call to action to AAHS and Rampart Class of '84. Please tag/report/forward. A week ago, the best friend and caretaker of Dawn Geil (Dawn Marie Dunlap) committed suicide in her apartment. She now has no one in Colorado Springs. She is a paraplegic and immobile (vehicle accident 20+ years ago) in her bed with minimal financial means. We learned of the situation through Facebook when her friend inTennessee was trying to manage Dawn's difficult hospital discharge remotely. Fortunately, Jeff Cheney (AAHS '84) volunteered to stay with Dawn and assist with the transition. The goal is to now move her to Tennessee where Stacey Holland has offered to become her caretaker. Jeff offered to transport her to TN. We’re taking up a collection to cover the costs of the move (a wheelchair van rental, hotel, flight back, food, gas, and give her some "start-up" funds). Deadline this Sunday, July 17. Thank you!
