MNOYC Youth Tent
Taanshi Metis Nation of Ontario!
The Ottawa Metis Council is requesting your help to raise funds to purchase a much-needed Youth Tent for the Metis Nation of Ontario Youth Council. Over the past few years the MNOYC has raised the need for youth to have a separate and unique space for youth-specific cultural activities and ceremonies during the Annual General Assembly.
In order to make this happen the Ottawa Metis Council is reaching out to all of you. We are asking for donations to assist in the purchase of a trappers tent to be brought each year to the MNO's Annual General Assembly. The MNOYC initiated the idea which draws upon the strong tradition of trapping and hunting in Metis communities.
With your help we are hoping to raise the necessary funds by September 1st so that the tent may be purchased and brought to the 2017 AGA. Together our communities can gift our young people with the knowledge that we believe in them. Donations of any amount will serve in making our vision a reality. We can do it!
