DeVon Strong

DeVon is your typical happy loving 7 year old boy who loves family, friends, and playing video games. Saturday May 1,2021 after sending his uncle off to prom DeVons life changed forever. As he and his siblings were outside playing in their lawn of their apartment complex he was ran over by a man who lived in the building next door. We are unsure as to why the man drove over side walk and onto DeVon leaving him trapped under the vehicle. DeVon pushed his sister out of harms way and ended up being harmed himself. Saturday was the scariest day of his and his family lives as they stood helplessly watching their loved one be airlifted to Chicago. DeVon has a broken left collarbone, right femur broken at his growth plate, head laceration starting at the top of his skull alongside many other lacerations. He is recovering by the grace of God and has underwent surgery. DeVon will now require a halo to keep his neck and head still because of the torn ligaments and  broken bones in his neck. Please continue to keep DeVon in your prayers. Healing and a speedy recovery.
