Leanna is showing the courage to take her chance at healthier more comfortable future in her own hands by going to California for a surgery against MS. We are raising $ to help with the cost involved in this adventure.
How do you help someone who is always the first to help everyone else?
Do you have a friend that does everything for everyone else, that one person you can count on when you need a hand, or someone to lend an ear, a friend that is the first person to volunteer to help with a wedding, stag and doe, fundraiser, birthday party, or baby shower?
Well do, we have a Leanna, a one of a kind, daughter, a fiancée, sister and friend. And this time she needs our help.
Leanna has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for approximately 10 yrs, since most of us have known her, and we would like to help her kick it!!
The definition of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is: a chronic, typically progressive disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, whose symptoms may include numbness, impairment of speech and of muscular coordination, blurred vision, and severe fatigue.

Leanna has been accepted for Clinical Trials of a procedure of Stem Cell implantation that is not covered by health insurance due to its experimental nature. Timing is everything and we would like to help her get the treatment before any more long term damage is done.
The surgery itself is an out patient procedure with a few different stages and multiple follow ups. A minimum of 1 week will need to be spent in California for the surgery and follow ups. The physicians will remove Leanna’s own stem cells, isolate them and then reintroduce them into her body.
The success rate so far in patients with similar symptoms and damage has been very good, with many showing regeneration of damaged cells and myelin.
