Help Tony heal from colon cancer

I would like you to meet Tony Johnson. The photo above on the left is Tony last summer. The photo in the middle is Tony during his recent hospital stay for an emergency surgery to remove part of his colon & several lymph nodes due to Stage 3 colon cancer. He now has a colostomy bag. During this emergency the cat scan showed he also has a mass on his right kidney. The photo on the right is our unfinished, small SW farmhouse he had been dreaming of building for his retirement years. This is just the beginning of his long road of treatment and recovery. My name is Debi, his wife. My daughter, Cristy, has lovingly posted this page for her stepfather, Tony. I would like to tell you his story.

Tony is a man who is very proud of the fact that he gives more than he takes. He is a master carpenter and has spent close to 30 years building custom homes. He loves building; it is a part of him. He has put his heart and soul into building each home. These are no ordinary homes. They are someone’s retirement dream. Most of his clients had limited funds and big dreams. He helped them attain their dreams by reducing his labor charges and providing materials when needed. He often worked many hours for free.

Tony had to close his business due to the pandemic. He decided it was finally time to pursue his own retirement dream and we sold our home to fund it. He has always wanted to build a small, less than 1200sq, SW farmhouse in the country. So off we went to find the perfect location. In March of 2021 we found that location and he started building, by himself. Due to the pandemic, building costs rose 4-5 times higher than normal. Supply chain issues caused multiple delays in delivery of crucial building supplies. In normal circumstances the house would have been finished by November of 2021. It is still not finished. The interior needs to be completed to be livable. We are living in a 26 ft, 225 sq ft, 5th wheel next to the house. The house needs to be completed so Tony can be moved into it where he will be more comfortable during his treatment and recovery. For his own sake he needs his dream fulfilled. Due to mounting medical bills, having only my income to live on and depleting our savings due to inflated building costs, we can’t hire help to finish the house. Tony is too ill to finish the house by himself.

Can you help Tony with finishing the home he has been dreaming of all his life and help pay the rising medical bills for his much need treatment so we can afford to keep the house? Tony has helped so many people over the years attain their retirement dreams of a small home in their perfect location to live out the rest of their lives.
