Help Send Dr. Dawn to Bhutan!
The Royal Thimpu College (RTC) invited me to the Kingdom of Bhutan as a visiting scholar for a year! I am the only female professor to be invited to join the faculty of their Environmental Studies Dept. teaching Ecology, Biodiversity and Conservation courses. I am honored and want to make this happen. But I need your help to cover the costs of travel, insurance, and vaccines for me and my two sons.
Located between India and China, Bhutan is a landlocked Himalayan country known for their self-imposed mandate to keep at least 60% of the land under forest cover, as well as their commitment to Gross National Happiness. Bhutan is moving past sustainability and is the only carbon negative country in the world, sequestering more carbon than they produce. Please help me go and make a difference synthesizing science to inspire and educate the next generation of environmental leaders!
