Colin & Rowena's medical expenses

It's been a tough year for dear friends, Colin & Rowena.  Both have had health challenges - yes, 'Screw the Golden Years!'  But laughter and friends pull us through.  However, Colin & Rowena and their kids have been challenged with Colin spending about a month in Queen's Hospital on Oahu, in and out of ICU for many compounded, confounded conditions that gave even the doctors heartburn!  Fortunately, he seems to be out of the woods now...
This is after a wash and haircut, looking almost civilized!  His sense of humor has sustained him.  Rowena has been back and forth to Oahu from their Kona home...and their kids have been taking turns spending trips from the mainland to help keep the watch up. 
Many friends have helped lots, some getting Rowena plane tickets, others caring for Kiki the cat, others bringing food, etc. All welcomed and greatly appreciated.  However, neither of them have been able to work during this ordeal (well, Rowena heroically delivered a catering the first weekend!), and living on Social Security isn't enough even without unexpected humongous expenses.  So let's all reach deep, help our friends, as they have helped many before.  They've 'paid it forward'  - now lets collect some of that good will in the form of cash-ola to help them through to full health.
