Liam is a smart, loving, energetic 2-year-old; he is also a son, brother, nephew, and grandson; he is a kid who is certain to put a smile on your face and a hug around your neck; and his life has drastically changed in what feels like an instant.
On Wednesday (12/24/2020), he was taken to his primary care physician with swollen lymph nodes and was sent straight to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital and was admitted for further testing. Christmas Morning (12/25/2020) sweet Liam was officially diagnosed with A.L.L. (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia). This is a fast-growing, aggressive form of Leukemia.
Liam and his family have a long road ahead of them and it has already begun at full speed. Fighting off this cancer involves several stages of chemotherapy in order to get to remission, consolidation, and maintenance.
There are SO many people that love sweet Liam and the entire family and desperately want to see him beat this. Liam has two of the strongest most loving parents fighting this fight with him along with some amazing doctors, nurses, and specialists to treat him and guide his family every step of the way. Not to mention the large amount of family and friends praying non-stop for Liam.
It is going to take unprecedented amounts of time, energy, and finances, from these first stages into the months and years to come. Liam's mom (Athena), dad (Nader), and big sister (Sofia) will be walking this road, unknown to most of us, for the foreseeable future. They will have the support of extended family, friends, and professionals, and they want you to join Liam's fight!
First, please pray for sweet Liam and his entire family! Secondly, if you can find it in your heart to give, please give to this precious family as they endure one of the toughest times of their lives. There will be many costs now and throughout this process. Nader and Athena’s entire focus should be on Liam, Sofia, and their family as a whole – Not worrying about the financial burden from this horrible disease.
Thank you so much for your help, shares and donations.
