Holly Women’s Memorial at Waterworks Park

Holly ACTS is thrilled to announce the approval by the Holly Village Parks Commission and the Holly Village Council, to install an educational interpretive storyboard memorial, to honor a lengthy list of trailblazing women who helped build, enhance, and serve the Holly community. In addition, we have offered to repair an existing plaque/post memorial erected many years ago by Holly Area Youth Assistance, that has fallen into disrepair. We envision a community event to be held at Waterworks Park later this Summer to unveil the memorial and beautified space, as well as honor many of our living female leaders with a very special program that will be sure to recognize the rich history of our community. We are blessed to have the support of numerous local organizations,institutions, and local officials. The budget for this memorial, repair of HAYA’s memorial, garden space creation, and event is $2500. We welcome any and all donations to this effort, to give recognition and honor to these women. For any individual, business, or organization that makes a $300+ donation, your name (or business/organization name) will be engraved (by a local female owned business of course!) on a donors plaque on the memorial itself. All donors who makes a donation from $1-$299 dollars will Be engraved on a large paver stone in the garden space.
