Nella Roots Gardening

A wonderful woman and friend, Clarice Criss got fed up with seeing the food deserts in her South Dallas community and decided to do something about it. She created Nella Roots Gardening for low income communities to have access to fresh fruits and vegetables. In addition, her community garden provides a space for kids to get an education on healthy eating and to help connect them to the foods they eat.

After quitting her job to work full time on this dream, she has often encountered setbacks with funding. Sinking her own savings into this project has taken a toll. This has been a journey to say the least, yet she presses forward in order to build something for her community.

Your contribution can help grow this dream into an even larger community-wide initiative. Money collected will go towards purchasing more space for growing, buying seeds, and creating more vegetable beds. 

For once someone I know decided to stop talking about a problem within the community, and actually made efforts to produce change. Let's support her efforts.
