Help bring Devon Home

Devon is a  13 year old teenager with multiple physical and intellectual  disabilities who recently underwent intensive corrective  spinal surgery for scoliosis condition. Devon underwent two operations within 24 hours and had an adverse reaction to the first surgery resulting in loss of sensation and use of his legs, which is absolutely devastasting for Devon and for his family.Devon has two brothers Jaimon and Flynn  and a loving mum and dad Megan and Justin. Devon has now been in the RCH Melbourne for 5 weeks and he will remain in the hospital for many months yet to recieve the treatment and rehabilitation he requires to get him ready for discharge.

Megan,Devons devoted mum has been in the hospital by his side from the start. the financial costs are beginning to  mount up...and thats not the start of it...to bring Devon home to an environment which will be adequate for his care requirements the family home will need modifying and renovating to allow for a wheelchair,hoists and a new bathroom to tend to  his personal care requirements. He will also need a new bed .These are just the few things that Devon will need on his discharge from hospital.
The family has yet to recieve any form of compensation or funding for these imminent requirements for Devons future care.  My name is Sandy and as a friend of Megan and Justin and their beautiful children i am imploring people to donate to Devon and his family so the financial burden and stress they are facing now and into the future will be eased as they come to terms with the loss of Devons physical independance and dreams of further mobility.
