Early morning on the eighth of March, there was an unfortunate fire in one of our lower elementary buildings. The classroom was entirely engulfed in the flames. We are asking for the support of our friends and family to help us rebuild and begin to create an even more beautiful environment for the wonderful children Cedars Montessori School.
Cedars Montessori School is nestled on 16 acres of wooded land in southwest Austin, giving a countryside setting that allows children to enjoy and explore nature. Established in 1974, Cedars offers a rich educational environment for children ranging from ages three to twelve. Developing a respect and sense of responsibility to the natural world is an integral part of our mission. The purpose of our school is to aid and accelerate the process of self-education by providing an environment designed to encourage the child's independent effort. Our primary goals are to build self-confidence and independence, to develop concentration and to nourish the love of learning.
