Seattle Short Term Rental Alliance
Donation protected
Seattle Short Term Rental Alliance is a group of vacation rental owners and property managers working together to protect the vitality of our industry in the city of Seattle. The work of this group is being led by Michelle Acquavella, owner and founder of Sea to Sky Rentals. Michelle led the fight in 2007 when the City of Seattle started shutting down vacation rentals. In 2009 with the help of a sharp attorney, Courtney Kaylor, Michelle prevailed in King County Superior court when Judge Spector ruled that vacation rental use IS a residential use and therefore allowed in any residential zone.
Today we face potential regulations of short term rentals that would put many of us out of business. With the right professionals by our side, we believe we can make a difference in the regulation that is enacted by city council to allow us to continue to operate our businesses. These professionals do not come cheap and in order to pay for their services we need your support. We have suggest donation levels, however please give what you can comfortably afford.
