Officer Nancy Reyes Medical Fund

As some of you may know, one of our fellow officers, Officer Nancy Reyes, was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Nancy has only been with the police department for a short time and currently has limited  resources available to cover medical expenses.  On January 8th, 2016, Nancy had a biopsy where doctors removed a lymph node.  As everyone prayed for the best for Nancy, the doctor confirmed her worst nightmare.  The biopsy returned that she had cancer. Nancy had to undergo surgery on January 26th, this time to remove her Thyroid and all the other infected lymph nodes.  This surgery has placed Nancy out of work.   With all of the medical bills and being out of work, I and other officers feel the need to help Nancy in any way we can.  As of now, Nancy is supposed to return to work at the end of the month if her body and doctor allow her to do so. 

 

 I spoke with Nancy to confirm she would be ok with telling her story through a "go fund me" page.  Nancy requested for me to advise everyone that she is extremely appreciative of all the prayers and donations that have been granted to her.  She is honored to have such supporting and uplifting family, friends, co-workers and supervisors who have given her courage along this journey. 

 

With that being said, I would like to ask any of you, whether you know Nancy or not, to please consider donating any amount to Nancy as she is out of work and has to cover mounting medical bills and personal expenses.
