If you've heard Ian talk about his Dad, or met the man, you'll know they are one and the same -- intelligent, opinionated, irascible, stubborn, and GOLDEN HEARTED.
I'm sure many of you have heard, but Ian's Dad took a stumble related to a previously existing medical condition and hit his head hard. He's stable and well-cared for in the hospital, but there was bleeding in his brain which has caused some changes in his behavior and a lot of hardship in the family. This is all VERY fresh and new (merely days) so a solid diagnosis and/or prognosis are not really there yet. All we know is that Ian's family is going through some tough times.
As Ian and his family sort through how to deal with these hardships including his father's inability to work and the stress on his mother to care for him, Ian is trying to figure out his own plan. Should he go home, when should he, and how to manage it financially.
So let's remove one tough question and just do it for him! I put our goal at $1000 dollars. A last minute round trip ticket from LAX to Baltimore would be $650. The extra cash he can use to cover taxis, airport Sbarro, and help him feel comfortable taking some time off.
If every mutual friend of mine and Ian's on Facebook threw in only $5, our goal would be surpassed instantly. So this will be easy. Please share this with friends of Ian and get it around.
DON'T TELL HIM!!!!!! This way, the aforementioned stubbornness will not be an issue and we can just force him to take it!
Besides, the Ravens won the Super Bowl. Shouldn't he be in Baltimore anyway?!
