SEND JAKE TO UGANDA

Hello to All!

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying this beautiful thing called life! So if you have not heard I'm hoping to travel to Uganda for a month this summer, May 31^st-June 21^st.  It is a trip sponsored by Appalachian State University, social work department! As a social work major, I would receive 3 credit hours for this service trip as well as the experience to partner with a NGO in Uganda working to improve the living conditions, educational opportunities, and economic well being of women and children in Uganda.

The tricky part is that the cost of this service trip is $4,000. My amazing parents are willing to fund half of the cost, if I commit to coming up with the other $2000.  I realize that the time period is very short.  Over the next few weeks, I will be working diligently to raise the funds to make this happen.  I am reaching out to you as my family and friends, with the hope that you might assist me in this endeavor.  As a financially struggling college student, I need all the help possible in making this amazing service opportunity a reality!  If you are able, please feel free to donate to my cause. Any amount that you can give is more than enough and graciously accepted.  My deadline is APRIL 1^st to raise my half of the funds. Spread the word and please donate if you are able.
