Help and Support for Bobby

My very sweet friend, Bobby, was recently a victim of a hate crime in the Oak Lawn, Dallas area.  While waiting to cross the street near his home, an unidentified man jumped out of a nearby car and punched him so hard, he was knocked unconscious.  Bobby suffered a broken foot, an injured wrist, a facial fracture, and various bruises.  He is the 18th (reported) victim in nine months in a string of attacks on innocent people.  Unfortunately, it appears these attacks are targeting the gay community. These attacks are unprovoked, undeserved, and need to be stopped.  

This horrible crime has left Bobby unable to work for at least two weeks.  Bobby has worked in the service industry for nearly 30 years , and does not have income if he cannot work.  Bobby will most likely lose at least $1,000 in wages.  He also now has medical bills to pay.  

Please consider donating to help cover Bobby's expenses while he is recovering.  Bobby is still suffering the emotional trauma of the attack, but he should not have the added stress of having to suffer financially.  I am hoping these donations will also help Bobby feel loved and supported after being a victim of such a hateful act.  Bobby has always been a wonderful friend to me, and to so many others.  This is the least we can do for him.
