Murrieta Tragedy - Near Drowned

Donation protected
A loving, long-time active duty Navy family suffered a crushing tragedy when their oldest son, 13yr old Alex, inexplicably drowned at an end of year swim party hosted by parent and faculty volunteers. The event was held at the Vista Murrieta High School swimming pool, and was sponsored by the middle school band and choir booster club associated with the Dorothy McElhinney Middle School.

The event was supervised and life guards were present, but adults never realized Alex was missing until a classmate reported seeing him at the bottom of the pool.

Though Alex was rescued, it is not known just how long he was under water.

Alex had just recently performed in a pop dance recital, and is known as a very active, athletic young man. Those who know Alex know him as thoughtful, caring, and quick-witted.

Right now, Alex remains in a coma as his doctors do everything possible to help him. The outcome is not certain.

Alex is bravely fighting for his life, and faces a very difficult road ahead.

This campaign has been started to help with the mounting costs of the specialized treatment and ongoing care that Alex is receiving.

If you're unable to donate, please keep Alex and his family in your thoughts and share this campaign with those you know.
