Vulnerable man in desperate need

any help is appreciated more than i could ever put into words An old neighbour of mine has been in an awful situation for quite some time now and was attacked a few months ago which now has him living on nerves and scared that his house may be an easy target with the way it sits at the moment. The local community came together so well to help him out with food as he has so little he would go hungry at times. Whilst helping I got a drastic eye opener seeing his house and how he's living, there are so many repairs needing done and most would be classed as urgent as his house would be deemed as unsafe to live in with no heating / hot water, holes and sunk in floors, broken windows, electric issues, broken tap and jammed locks. The house is owned therefore the council will not do any repairs and so far there has been no luck with social work. Any money raised here will go towards getting this house into some sort of living state and hopefully sooner rather than later with the winter coming in. Priority for first job would be to fix the heating & hot water so that he isn't using a hot water bottle to keep warm, as well as sorting the broken window! All help is appreciated and I will be going to the papers with the companies / tradesmen who can help out to put a good word in after helping a man in desperate need with no family. If any tradesmen could spare some time to have even just a look & let me know what will be needing done / what the issues are please get in touch.
