Stars, Bereavement Support Group For Children

STARS which is a bereavement support group for children aged between 4-14 based in Wrexham

STARS meet every six weeks and the children have the opportunity to get involved with fun activities and come on fun days out. 

Our first session was in July 2018 and we had 7 children attend and now we currently have around 28. All of the children that attend have all lost someone close to them. When we get together we do not put pressure on the children to talk but they know that it is a safe place to talk if they need to. 

We have around ten members who volunteer and give up their time for STARS and for the children. We have social workers, teachers, nurses and a wide range of skills from the other members. 

As we are volunteers we do not receive any funding and do not receive any grants off the government we rely solely off donations and fundraising, we have been very lucky and we are extremely appreciative that we have recieved a number of donations.

But as our numbers are expanding it is important that we continue to fundraise hence the reason for this Just Giving page.
