Helping the Hungry

Hello to everyone. I am sharing my story to give a new perspective and open mind to a very common and overlooked issue in today’s world. As we know, there are communities all over the world with homeless people. We may not know how they got there, it may be self caused problems, but they are still human. Today, while delivering food I swung into a parking lot to drop off a Cliff bar and a water to a homeless man. As I approached him, I realized he was lifeless. This brought pain, sadness and anger over my body. He could have died from other reasons but he also could have died from starvation or dehydration. Since we do not know, I believe the best thing to do is give the benefit of the doubt. After experiencing such a sad and traumatic thing, I realized that I want to start doing more to help my community. I want to be the beginning of a change and start the chain of consistently giving back. I would love you help to earn money for the plan I have in store. I will be filling a cooler every morning with ice, adding water, sandwiches, and any other necessities for the less fortunate. Other things I would like to include is face masks and hand sanitizer just in case. If you would like to donate any amount of money, it will be strictly used on food, water, ice and COVID supply for the less fortunate. I work for DoorDash and am always driving around the city, therefor I will be keeping the cooler on hand to give out to any people I see along my path every single day.
